Peachtree Heights Urban Forest

Trees Atlanta and the Peachtree Heights Neighborhood Association are partnering to plant 200 native trees along streets and in community green spaces across this historic intown neighborhood. The project focuses on species selection that will thrive in Atlanta's urban environment while providing maximum shade coverage and stormwater management. Volunteers from local schools, businesses, and neighborhood residents will participate in three planting events in spring and fall 2026. This project directly addresses the neighborhood's tree canopy loss from recent storms and construction, targeting a net increase of 15% canopy coverage by 2028.
